Wildfire offers greater payload and range than MQ-9A Reaper at lower cost for massed combat operations, Says General Atomics

Wildfire

General Atomics Aeronautical Systems is positioning Wildfire as a lower-cost uncrewed aircraft for massed surveillance and strike operations.

The company said it will carry a greater payload and fly farther than the MQ-9A Reaper while remaining in the same medium-altitude, long-endurance class.

Wildfire is designed to be scalable, mission-focused and tolerant of combat losses.

Its intended role is to provide significant aircraft numbers for demanding operations in which cost and the ability to replace losses shape operational capacity.
