Former West Ham and Czech national team goalkeeper Luděk Mikloško has died

Luděk Mikloško, former goalkeeper for the English soccer club West Ham and the Czech national team, has died at the age of 64.

West Ham’s press office announced the player’s death. Miklosko had been battling cancer for the past five years.

Miklosko played for West Ham from 1990 to 1998. During his career, the goalkeeper also played for England’s Queens Park Rangers and the Czech club Baník.

He made 40 appearances for the Czechoslovak national team and two more for the Czech national team. After retiring from professional play, Miklosko continued to work in soccer.
