Up to $5 Million Reward Offered for Information on ISIS Leader Khadra Essa

The U.S. State Department’s Rewards for Justice program is offering a reward of up to $5 million for information on Khadra Essa, also known as Umm Qaqa al-Somali, who is described as a key ISIS leader.

According to the announcement, Essa served as the chief “sharia instructor” of an all-female ISIS battalion known as Nusaybah Katibah.

The program said Essa is a Somali-born Dutch citizen who supported suicide attacks and the killing of innocent civilians.

Authorities are urging anyone with information on Khadra Essa to contact Rewards for Justice, noting that eligible tipsters may qualify for both a financial reward and relocation assistance.
