Hayden Panettiere Reportedly Took Fentanyl-Laced Oxycodone Pill Before Her Death

Actress Hayden Panettiere reportedly took a single oxycodone pill believed to have been laced with fentanyl before her death, according to multiple reports citing law enforcement sources.
Investigators believe the 36-year-old actress may have obtained the pill through a black-market source before she was found unresponsive in Greenville, South Carolina, on August 16.
Authorities are reportedly investigating the origin of the pill, including a possible longtime drug supplier in Los Angeles. The DEA is also involved in the broader investigation.
Panettiere was found in cardiac arrest at a temporary residence, and efforts to revive her were unsuccessful. An autopsy reportedly found no signs of trauma contributing to her death.
The official cause of death has not yet been finalized, with toxicology results still pending, so the fentanyl-laced oxycodone theory remains part of an ongoing investigation rather than a confirmed final finding.
