Centralia man charged for fatal stabbing, assaults in Owensville

A Centralia man was being held in the Franklin County Jail charged with fatally stabbing a man and injuring three others in Owensville early Sunday morning.

Prosecutors charged Henry W. Lorton, 36, with Second Degree Murder and three counts of First Degree Assault.

Court documents state that the stabbing happened at 1:28 a.m. on North 1st Street. Investigators state that there was a fight between eight people.

A witness said that he and Lorton fought with six other people. The witness said that he threw a beer bottle which hit a vehicle.
