Arrest records say the streets were still crowded just after 2:30am when Pineda squealed his tires and sped down the street.

A 21-year-old was arrested early Sunday after driving recklessly through the Northgate District at closing time.

Fire response and evacuations

Arrest records say the streets were still crowded just after 2:30am when Pineda squealed his tires and sped down the street.

Officers say that Pineda was also not wearing a seat belt. He failed a field sobriety test and breathalyzer samples registered 0.111 and 0.105.

Just before 5:00pm, the Caldwell Fire Department and Cooks Point Volunteer Fire Departments were dispatched to CR-331 for a grass/structure fire.

Deanville Volunteer Fire Department, Black Jack Volunteer Fire Department, and Milano Volunteer Fire Department provided mutual aid.

Cause of fire under investigation

Pineda was charged with Reckless Driving and Driving While Intoxicated. He was released on $6,000 bond. Several agencies battled a fire in Burleson County Sunday.

Police witnessed Hector Pineda, of College Station, on Church Avenue traveling at approximately 50mph in a 25mph zone.

Officials say the fire burned approximately 37 acres, consuming one abandoned home and several small shed-like structures on the property.
