FAA Warns of Possible Flight Delays at Major U.S. Airports Monday

The Federal Aviation Administration is warning travelers of possible flight delays across several major U.S. airports on Monday, September 14, 2026, due to thunderstorms, gusty winds and low clouds.

Thunderstorms may affect flights at airports in Florida, including Fort Lauderdale, Miami, Orlando and Tampa, as well as Denver, Houston, Minneapolis-St. Paul and Phoenix.

The FAA also said gusty winds are forecast in Boston and Newark, while low clouds could affect operations in Seattle.

The agency said the daily air traffic report is intended to provide a reasonable expectation of potential disruptions, including arrival and departure delays, ground stops and possible airport closures.

Travelers are advised to check their airline and airport status for the latest updates, as conditions can change throughout the day.
