CMPD Homicide Unit investigating after shooting outside Spectrum Center

CMPD's Homicide Unit is conducting a homicide investigation near the transit center in Uptown.

Police say MEDIC responded to a shooting around noon Sunday, near the 300 block of East Trade Street. Upon arrival, they found one person with a gunshot wound.

They were taken to a nearby hospital, where they were later pronounced dead. Police say a person of interest is in custody and a gun was recovered.
