Sanpete County Sheriff seeks info on man missing since Aug. 31

SANPETE COUNTY, Utah, Sept. 8, 2026 () — The Sanpete County Sheriff’s Office is attempting to locate missing person.

Search efforts and public alert

The missing man is Gregory Riley Smith, age 53. He is described as a White male with dark hair and gray facial scruff, the statement says.

He was last seen at about 2:30 p.m. Aug. 31, and was driving a tan/brown 1998 Chevrolet Suburban with Utah plate number S406AR.
