Son arrested in fatal stabbing of his father in Castro Valley

CASTRO VALLEY — A man has been arrested on suspicion of murder in the fatal stabbing of his father inside their home Saturday, the Alameda County Sheriff’s Office said.

The son is 20 and his father was 51, but their names have yet to be released. The stabbing happened about 1:30 p.m.

Saturday in the family home in the1800 block of Parsons Avenue.

The sheriff’s office said in a news release that deputies responded to a report of a family disturbance involving an injured person.
