Tornado watch ends – severe thunderstorm watch continues for some areas

Severe Thunderstorm Watch means conditions are favourable for the development of severe thunderstorms that may be capable of producing strong wind gusts, large hail and heavy rain.
An area of thunderstorms moving in from North Dakota this evening will continue to move northeast through the night. Some of these thunderstorms could be severe.
Damage to roofs, fences, branches or soft shelters is possible. Fast-moving and rapidly rising water can sweep vehicles away and damage infrastructure.
Lightning kills and injures Canadians every year. Don't drive through flooded roadways. Strong wind gusts can damage trees, buildings and overturn vehicles.
