Power, Kentucky outage affects Somerset

POWER, Kentucky — SOMERSET, Ky. (WKYT) – A power outage is affecting parts of Somerset on Monday.

Fire response and evacuations

According to the Somerset Fire Department, the outage is in the area surrounding its station 2 on Sallee Street.

A Kentucky Utilities outage map indicates that over 300 people are without power.

The fire department said that there are several traffic lights out on and near U.S. Route 27.

Drivers are advised to treat those as four-way stops. The fire department said that Kentucky Utilities is working to resolve the issue.
