Water Rescue Underway After Boat Overturns on Squam Lake in Sandwich, New Hampshire

SANDWICH, New Hampshire — A water rescue operation was reported Monday after a boat overturned near Fore Point on Squam Lake in Sandwich.

New Hampshire Marine Patrol responded to the scene after one person was reported in the water.

Authorities initially identified the incident location as Sandown before correcting it to Sandwich in Carroll County.

The condition of the person in the water and the number of people aboard the boat were not immediately available.
