UPDATE: Reported Shooting at Westwood Hills Elementary Prompts Student Reunification

Waynesboro Public Schools confirmed that police are managing an emergency at Westwood Hills Elementary School in Virginia.

Families Directed to Reunification Site

The school district said students and their families will be reunited at Westminster Presbyterian Church, located at 1904 Mt. Vernon Street in Waynesboro.

Families were instructed to gather in the church’s lower fellowship hall and enter through the doors marked “Entry.”

The district did not disclose the nature of the emergency. Earlier reports of a shooting and at least one victim have not yet been officially confirmed.
