Crews respond to home fire, explosion near South Sioux City, Nebraska

SOUTH SIOUX CITY, Nebraska — SOUTH SIOUX CITY, Neb. (KTIV) – No injuries are being reported Friday, Aug. 28, after a fire near South Sioux City, Nebraska, caused a small explosion.

Casualties and emergency response

Officials at the scene say after the fire broke out, a small propane tank exploded.

It appears that the fire and explosion caused significant damage to the building.

Crews from South Sioux City, Homer, and Dakota City could be seen on the street, responding to the fire.

One of the fire chiefs at the scene confirmed that no injuries were reported from the fire or explosion.
