NYPD Searches for Suspects in Armed Facebook Marketplace PS5 Robberies

The NYPD is searching for two men accused of robbing separate victims who arranged to purchase PlayStation 5 consoles through Facebook Marketplace in Downtown Brooklyn.

Two Robberies at the Same Brooklyn Address

Both robberies occurred on August 7 at 233 Sands Street. Police said the victims, aged between 23 and 28, were threatened at gunpoint and knifepoint after arriving to complete the PS5 purchases.

The suspects allegedly stole two cellphones, $630 in cash and a backpack containing personal identification cards.
