Deadly building explosion reported in Sand Springs, Oklahoma

SAND SPRINGS, Oklahoma — One person was killed and another was critically injured after a building explosion in Sand Springs early Thursday morning.

The explosion happened around 1 a.m. near Morrow Road and Lincoln Avenue. Surveillance video from a nearby building captured a flash from the explosion.

Emergency crews, including Sand Springs firefighters and police, PSO and Oklahoma Natural Gas, responded to the scene.

Drone video from Osage Drone 6 showed debris scattered around the area as crews searched through the rubble. Police confirmed one person died in the explosion.
