Pilot who died in Bristol plane crash

LEE, New Hampshire — The Lincoln County Sheriff’s Office on Friday identified the two occupants of a single-engine plane that crashed Thursday afternoon off the Pemaquid Peninsula in Bristol.

The pilot to whom the plane was registered, 54-year-old John Hall, of Lee, New Hampshire, died at the scene, the sheriff’s office said in a news release.

The lone passenger, Hall’s 21-year-old son Tyler Hall, was taken to a hospital with injuries that the sheriff’s office said were not considered life-threatening.

The Diamond DA20 had taken off from Brunswick Executive Airport for Knox County Regional Airport in Owls Head, according to the Midcoast Villager.
