Suspect vehicle found as manhunt continues after Tucson

TUCSON, Arizona — Authorities in Arizona have found the SUV believed to have been used by suspects who invaded a southwest Tucson home and shot two law enforcement officers, killing one and injuring his pregnant fiancée, as a manhunt continues.

Victims and police response

The Pima County Sheriff's Department said the gray Acura was found in a parking lot near Palo Verde and 33rd Street.

Detectives are continuing to search for the suspects across the state, KVOA reported.

The suspects were described as two Hispanic men wearing black clothing and ski masks at the time of the shooting, according to authorities.

The attack killed 23-year-old Carlos Ramirez, a Tucson Police recruit who was expected to graduate from training later this month.

Ramirez's 23-year-old fiancée, a corrections officer with the Pima County Sheriff's Department, was also shot.

She was released from the hospital, while a friend said her unborn baby was unharmed.

Investigators were at the home Thursday morning collecting evidence and documenting the scene.
