A third suspect has been arrested in connection with the killing of two police officers and two civilians in Reiger Park, bringing the number of suspects arrested in the case to three, reports Boksburg Advertiser.

The 27-year-old suspect is expected to appear in the Boksburg Magistrate’s Court today (August 21), following his arrest on Wednesday (August 19) by the Serious Organised Crime Investigation team based in Germiston.The case stems from the August 7 shooting in Reiger Park, in which two women, Jaydin Magerman (27) and Roleen Lessing (31) and two SAPS Anti-Gang Unit members, Constables Thapelo Tlomatsane (29) and Sphiwe Sibeko (28) were killed.

Hawks trace suspect to Ekurhuleni According to the Hawks, an intelligence-driven operation and investigation led the team to the suspect, who was traced to Ekurhuleni and arrested in connection with the killings.The suspect faces charges similar to those of his co-accused, with police indicating that one of the co-accused is reportedly a relative of the latest suspect.
