Driver killed in crash involving SUV and tractor on Route 19 in Clarkson, New York

Clarkson, N.Y. — The Monroe County Sheriff's Office is investigating a fatal crash involving an SUV and a tractor on Route 19. Lt. Dean Tuthill said the SUV was northbound on Lake Road near Lawton Road around 5:55 a.m.

Thursday when it collided with a farm tractor that was towing a set of 17-foot discs. The SUV driver was pronounced dead at the scene. The driver's identity has not been released. Tuthill said the tractor operator was not injured or impaired and is cooperating with the investigation.

Lake Road was closed in both directions between Lawton Road and Woodstock Lane but has since reopened. No further information about the crash has been released.
