ROANOKE, Va. – A man is in custody following a stabbing Wednesday afternoon in Roanoke, according to the Roanoke Police Department. Police said officers responded around 12:30 p.m. to the 400 block of 4th Street, where an argument reportedly escalated and an individual was stabbed.
The victim was taken to Carilion Roanoke Memorial Hospital with injuries that are not life-threatening, police said. The suspect, identified as 44-year-old Ricky Patrick Davis, was found nearby and taken into custody. Davis was transported to the Roanoke City Jail and charged with aggravated assault.
