A 23-year-old man who allegedly murdered his friend over a monetary dispute involving just Rs 20 was arrested in Uttar Pradesh's Ghaziabad following an encounter with the police.

The accused, identified as Sameer alias Gattu, was shot in the leg during the exchange of fire.He had allegedly stabbed Mushtaq, 23, during an argument over Rs 20.

Following the attack, Mushtaq was taken to a hospital, where he died during treatment.According to the police, Sameer had fled the scene after the stabbing incident.

Police registered a murder case and launched a search for him.A day later, on Thursday, August 20, a police team conducting vehicle checks in Ghaziabad's Shalimar Garden area, spotted a suspicious man on a motorcycle.
