Iran Weighs Attacks on U.S. Military Targets in Europe if Trump Escalates War

Iran has considered striking U.S. military targets in Europe if President Donald Trump escalates the war, according to people close to the Iranian government cited by the Financial Times.
Potential Targets in Europe
Two sources said Iranian forces assessed possible attacks on U.S. assets in southeastern Europe, including Bulgaria’s Bezmer Air Base, which has been approved for use by American refueling aircraft.
Cyprus was also reportedly identified as a potential target for retaliation if the United States launches another offensive.
Strait of Hormuz Infrastructure
Iranian forces have separately examined the possibility of targeting subsea fiber-optic cables in the Strait of Hormuz during a renewed escalation, the report said.
No decision to carry out the reported attacks has been announced. The assessments indicate that Tehran is considering options that could expand the conflict beyond the Middle East.
