Phoenix Police Officers Placed on Leave Over Alleged Unreported Use of Force

Two Phoenix police officers have been placed on administrative leave amid a criminal investigation into allegations of misconduct during a traffic stop.

Officers Accused of Failing to Report Force

Preliminary information indicates the officers allegedly used force during the stop but failed to report it as required by department policy. They are also accused of failing to activate their body-worn cameras.

Criminal Investigation Underway

The Phoenix Police Department’s Special Investigations Detail is investigating the allegations. An administrative review will begin after the criminal investigation is completed.
