Jametrius Griffin Arrested in Deadly Lexington, Kentucky Park Shooting

Jametrius Griffin, 18, has been arrested and charged with murder after a shooting at Charles Young Park in Lexington, Kentucky, killed 16-year-old Di’Zhon Robertson and injured four other people.
Griffin was taken into custody less than 24 hours after the shooting, which happened during the East End Day community celebration Saturday evening.
Five People Shot at Charles Young Park
Police responded to reports of gunfire near the 200 block of Midland Avenue shortly before 7 p.m.
Five victims were taken to a hospital. Robertson was later pronounced dead.
The four surviving victims included two adults, a 14-year-old and a 4-year-old. Their injuries were described as non-life-threatening.
Murder and Assault Charges Filed
Griffin faces one count of murder, two counts of first-degree assault, two counts of second-degree assault and tampering with physical evidence.
The investigation remains ongoing.
