Camron Harris Arrested in Virginia State University Shooting in Ettrick, Virginia

Camron Harris, 19, of Henrico, Virginia, has been arrested in connection with the Virginia State University shooting that left five people wounded, including one critically, in Ettrick, Virginia. Harris was reportedly found hiding inside a dormitory closet on the VSU campus after the shooting.
Suspect Found Inside Dorm
Police said Harris is not a Virginia State University student. He was located inside a closet in Seward Hall following the shooting near the Quad Annexes residential area.
The gunfire erupted at about 1:30 a.m. Saturday as students were returning to campus ahead of the start of the fall semester.
Eight Felony Warrants
Authorities obtained eight felony warrants for Harris, including four counts of malicious wounding and four counts of using a firearm in the commission of a felony. He is being held without bond at the Chesterfield County Jail.
Five people between the ages of 17 and 23 were wounded. One victim remains in critical condition, while the only Virginia State University student among those shot was treated and released from the hospital.
Police have not publicly disclosed a motive, and the investigation remains ongoing.
