Flash Flood Warning issued for Hartford, New Britain and West Hartford, Connecticut

CONNECTICUT — The National Weather Service has issued a Flash Flood Warning for Hartford, New Britain, and West Hartford, Connecticut, in effect until 5:30 p.m. EDT.

Heavy rainfall is producing dangerous flooding conditions, with rapid rises in water levels possible in low-lying areas, urban streets, small streams, and poor drainage locations.

Residents are urged to avoid traveling through flooded roadways and to move to higher ground if flooding develops. Drivers are reminded to never attempt to drive through floodwaters, as conditions can change rapidly.
