UK Weather: Rain moves south overnight as skies clear for Buck Moon viewing

LONDON, England — Rain across Scotland is expected to gradually weaken and move south into northern England overnight, leaving behind cooler and fresher conditions, according to the UK Met Office.

Forecasters say showers will continue to break up as they drift southward, improving conditions across much of Scotland by Thursday morning.

Elsewhere in the UK, clear spells are forecast to develop overnight, providing favorable conditions for skywatchers hoping to catch a glimpse of the Buck Moon, the full moon traditionally associated with July.

The Met Office advised residents to take advantage of the clearer skies where conditions permit, while those in northern England should still expect periods of rain as the weather system moves through.
