Multiple news outlets are reporting a large police presence in downtown Providence.
Streets have been blocked off and several downtown buildings, including Providence City Hall, have been evacuated.
The police presence is centered around Kennedy Plaza, Providence City Hall and the Biltmore Parking Garage. Officers with guns drawn have been seen near the Biltmore Parking Garage.
Police have shut down Fountain Street and Washington Street and officials are warning people to avoid the area.
