Double semi-truck crash blocks westbound I-44 near Stotts City, Mo

A crash involving two tractor-trailers shut down westbound lanes of Interstate 44 near the Stotts City exit Friday, causing major traffic backups in Lawrence County. A witness in the area reported seeing the eastbound truck leave the roadway and overturn into oncoming traffic before the impact occurred.

A second semi-truck traveling westbound then collided head-on with the overturned truck.
