Jackson, Mississippi fire chief warns residents as fires continue under burn ban

Most of the state, including Hinds County, is under a burn ban, but a string of fires has broken out across the city of Jackson. Some of the fires are being investigated as arson, and officials said others started because of simple carelessness.

The Jackson Fire Department said the city has seen an influx of fires in the past few weeks and is asking residents to help prevent them.
