1928 expansion transforms Monticello’s crowded school — Historically Speaking

Worth Brasie Memorial Library is shown following its completion as part of Monticello’s 1928 school expansion. Monticello’s school, later known as Oakwood School, is shown circa 1912, before the major expansion approved by voters in 1928.
The library was funded in part through a bequest from William Worth Brasie, who left $10,000 for a public library when he died in 1923.
