Woman Dies After Three-Vehicle Crash in Southeast Washington, D.C.

A woman died and several other people were injured in a three-vehicle crash near Mississippi Avenue and Wheeler Road SE in Washington, D.C., on Wednesday, October 28.

Metropolitan Police said officers responded around 8:14 a.m. and found several injured people, including a woman with serious injuries. She was taken to a hospital, where she later died.

The collision prompted closures on Wheeler Road between Upsal Street and Valley Avenue SE, and on Mississippi Avenue between 7th and 10th streets SE.

MPD’s Major Crash Unit is investigating. Police described the information released about the collision as preliminary.
