Navy sailor who died in a crash in Florida just two months after graduating from boot camp

A Lathrop family is mourning the loss of 21-year-old David Andrew DeAnda, a U.S. 24, in Pensacola, according to the Navy.

DeAnda was one of three sailors killed in a single-vehicle crash early Saturday, Oct. The Pensacola Police Department is investigating the crash.

His family told 3 that joining the Navy had given DeAnda a renewed sense of purpose.
