Grifton woman charged after alleged disturbance on school bus

A 55-year-old Grifton woman was arrested after allegedly boarding a Pitt County school bus and disrupting students, according to an arrest warrant. It alleges she remained on the bus for about 30 seconds, yelling and shouting at students and disrupting the safe operation of the bus.

The warrant says Barbara Jo Newton boarded bus 235 while it was in service, despite being told by school personnel not to enter.
