Two arrested for shooting into crowd, Gulfport police say

Two people were arrested Thursday for shooting into a crowd on Sept. 25, officials with the Gulfport Police Department said.

Officials said the department arrested 25-year-old Marc Samuel Humphrey II and 22-year-old Mackenzie Alexis Humphrey, both of Gulfport, on charges of shooting into an assembly or group.

Department officials said officers responded to reports of shots fired about 9:30 p.m. on Courthouse Road the night Sept. 25.

GPD said when officers arrived, they found two unknown people had fired a gun out of a gray vehicle toward a group of people after an argument at a nearby business.
