Amarillo, Texas airport joins TSA ‘Gateside’ program, allowing non-ticketed access to gates

Rick Husband Amarillo International Airport will begin allowing people without a ticket to meet travelers at the gate Friday.

Amarillo joins 12 other airports nationwide in offering Gateside by TSA PreCheck.

The program allows people without tickets to meet arriving passengers, walk family or friends to their gate, visit someone during a layover, or enjoy eating and shopping past security.

Gateside by TSA is available to people eligible to access TSA PreCheck screening.
