Video captures passengers screaming aboard Flydubai FZ1073 during reported cockpit knife attack
A video recorded aboard Flydubai flight FZ1073 captures screams and panic among passengers during the dramatic emergency that forced the Dubai-to-Tel Aviv flight to divert to Saudi Arabia.
The footage, apparently filmed from a passenger window as the aircraft descended, shows the Flydubai Boeing 737 MAX approaching land while shouting and commotion can be heard inside the cabin.
Israeli media, including Channel 14, reported that the co-pilot allegedly involved in the incident is an Omani citizen, while the captain is reportedly an Emirati citizen.
According to the latest Israeli reports, the co-pilot allegedly attacked the captain with a knife inside the cockpit, prompting a violent struggle. Passengers and crew members reportedly rushed to help restrain the alleged attacker after the aircraft entered a dangerous descent.
Witness accounts described screaming and blood near the cockpit area during the incident.
Flight FZ1073 had transmitted the emergency codes 7700 and 7500, with 7500 used internationally to signal unlawful interference aboard an aircraft.
The plane was eventually stabilized and diverted to Tabuk, Saudi Arabia, where it landed safely.
