Video: Bloodied Flydubai FZ1073 passenger recounts cockpit attack — “We thought we wouldn’t make it out alive”
A dramatic video from Flydubai flight FZ1073 shows a visibly bloodied passenger describing the terrifying moments aboard the Dubai-to-Tel Aviv flight during the cockpit emergency.
The passenger recounts hearing screams and seeing blood before learning that a pilot had been stabbed.
“We heard screams and saw blood. The pilot was stabbed. There were moments when we thought we weren’t going to make it out alive.”
Passenger accounts say panic spread through the cabin as the Boeing 737 MAX suddenly lost thousands of feet in altitude during the incident. Other witnesses reported seeing blood around the cockpit and said passengers and crew members helped bring the situation under control.
The aircraft transmitted emergency codes 7700 and 7500 before diverting to Tabuk, Saudi Arabia, where it landed safely.
Flydubai has confirmed that FZ1073 experienced an incident during the flight and that all passengers landed safely, while authorities continue investigating exactly what happened inside the cockpit.
