The project includes the construction of new water, sanitary sewer, stormwater, electrical, and communications infrastructure to service more than 165 acres of airside airport employment and industrial lands.

Official response and confirmed impact

The project will establish utility connections and infrastructure capacity to support future aerospace, aviation, logistics, advanced manufacturing, technology, and training facilities.

As Canada’s largest municipally owned and operated airport, YLW connects people, businesses and industries with opportunity while advancing the City of Kelowna Council’s economic priorities.

Investing in the infrastructure needed to unlock airport employment lands will strengthen Canada’s economy, support private-sector growth and create good jobs that help build stronger, more resilient communities.
