Frederick Police Investigate Friday Night Shooting

A shooting investigation is underway in Frederick after a man was seriously wounded Friday night.

Police responded around 9:20 to Hope Circle near Pennsylvania Avenue and the Frederick Fairgrounds after receiving a report of a shooting in progress.

The victim had already been taken from the area in a vehicle when officers arrived.

He was later located at a local hospital and remained in critical but stable condition Saturday.
