Two Firefighters, Civilian Hospitalized After Westlake Fire

The fire was reported just before 1 p.m. at 525 S.

Union Ave., east of MacArthur Park, where an outside fire extended into a two-story apartment building, a house and a recreational vehicle, according to the Los Angeles Fire Department.

A civilian was rescued from a structure during the fire.

That person and two LAFD members were hospitalized and all were said to be in stable condition. The nature of their injuries was not disclosed.

Additional resources were requested during the firefight, with the Los Angeles Police Department and Los Angeles Department of Transportation assisting at the scene.
