New NTSB details emerge on early September plane crash at Sierra Sky Park

The NTSB released new information about the deadly plane crash at Sierra Sky Park earlier in September.

Investigators say the pilot aborted an initial takeoff and reported a radio problem before the plane later took off and crashed.

The NTSB says surveillance video shows the plane aborted its first takeoff about halfway down the runway.

The pilot then texted the plane’s owner about a radio problem, and a mechanic later approached the plane after it was shut down Shortly after, the plane taxied back toward the runway and took off.
