Coroner identifies teen who died 5 days after shooting in Spartanburg County, South Carolina

The Spartanburg County Coroner’s Office reports a 16-year-old has died five days after he was shot. The coroner identified the teen as Jaden Crawford.

He died at Spartanburg Regional Medical Center around 1 a.m. on Saturday.

The Spartanburg County Sheriff’s Office said they responded to College Point Lane just after 1:30 a.m. on Monday for a reported shooting.

Deputies said a 911 call came in from Ralphion Marquez Gooden, 24, during the investigation, where he said he had just shot someone.
