As seniors at LFHS return to school after summer break, they are immediately hit with the demands of AP classes, college applications, multiple essays to write, and the constant chatter of who is applying where.

At the same time, the excitement of the fall season brings football games, sports tryouts, new leadership positions, and plans with friends.

With so much happening all at once, one question remains: when do seniors actually get a break?

Division I Stanford commit senior Katherine St. Amand has a demanding schedule.

As one of the captains of the girls varsity field hockey team, she is met with responsibilities of coordinating team activities and events, while also met with deadlines as a student athlete.

“I finished my application mid-August.

I knew fall would be busy with field hockey and a heavy school workload, so I wanted to focus on finishing my application as early as I could,” St. Amand said.
