Update: Teen stable after Prince George’s Community College shooting, college lockdown lifted while Largo High School remains locked down

A teenage boy was shot on the campus of Prince George’s Community College in Largo, Maryland, on Thursday, police have confirmed.

Prince George’s County Police said officers were notified at about 11:40 a.m. that a teenage male had walked into a nearby medical center suffering from a gunshot wound.

The teenager was later transferred for additional treatment and is currently in stable condition with non-life-threatening injuries.

At around noon, officers responded to Prince George’s Community College following reports of a shooting. Investigators subsequently confirmed that the teenager had been shot and injured on the college campus.

The college was briefly placed on lockdown, but police said the lockdown has since been lifted.

Nearby Largo High School was placed on lockdown as a precaution while officers continued searching the area.

Police said there is no known ongoing threat to the community.

No suspect has been publicly identified, and the investigation remains active.
