16-year-old struck, killed by train in Village of Silver Creek

A 16-year-old is dead after being struck by a train in the Village of Silver Creek Wednesday afternoon.

The Chautauqua County Sheriff's Office responded to the CSX railroad tracks in the village around 3:57 p.m. Wednesday.

The victim was pronounced dead at the scene. CSX personnel, Chautauqua County EMS and the Silver Creek Fire Department all responded to the scene.
