At least two people, an adult and a child, were fatally wounded in an attack in Schöntal Park in Aschaffenburg, Germany. There, a man with a knife attacked passers-by. Why – now the police are investigating.
Immediately after the tragedy, the park was completely cordoned off, and the movement of trains at the neighboring station was suspended, as the attacker tried to escape through the railroad tracks. He was apprehended. The police assure that there is no longer a threat to the public and that the attacker had no accomplices.
