NYC: Jury in Daniel Penny case informs judge that they cannot reach a verdict (VIDEO)

A jury in the trial of Daniel Penny, a former Marine accused of killing subway performer Jordan Neely with a chokehold in May 2023, has reported being unable to reach a unanimous decision on the manslaughter charge.
The deliberations, now stretching into a fourth day, must focus on the manslaughter charge before the jury is permitted to consider the second count, criminally negligent homicide. It remains unclear if the judge will instruct the jury to continue deliberating on the manslaughter charge. Video:
